Answer:    The card is FREE! There is absolutely no cost to you.


Question:  Do I need to enroll or register for the Buckeye Rx Card to get access to discounted medications?

Answer:    No enrollment or registration is required, and there are NO claim forms to fill out.  Just take your Buckeye Rx Card with you and present it to any participating pharmacy with your prescription to receive available discounts.


Question: When can I begin using my Buckeye Rx Card?

Answer: No activation is required!  Just print out your card and begin using it immediately at participating pharmacies to get access to available discounts on your medication needs.


Question: Is there a limit on how many times I can use my Buckeye Rx Card?

Answer: No, there is no limit to the number of times you can use your Buckeye Rx Card.  What’s more, everyone in your family, and even your friends, can all use the same card to get access to available discounts.


Question:      Can I use a Buckeye Rx Card if I also have traditional insurance covering prescription drugs?

Answer:    No, the Buckeye Rx Card cannot be used in conjunction with other prescription drug insurance. But you are able to use your card to purchase prescriptions that are not covered by these plans, or if you find that your medications are cheaper using your Buckeye Rx Card than with your prescription drug insurance.  Ask your pharmacist to compare the price available under the Buckeye Rx Card to the price under your regular insurance.


Question:      Can I still use my Buckeye Rx drug discount card if I enroll in a Medicare drug plan?

Answer:    The Buckeye Rx Card is not valid for patients using Medicaid, Medicare, including Medicare Part D, or other state or federal programs to pay for their medications. But you can use the Buckeye Rx Card to get discounts on your prescription drugs when those drugs are not covered by Medicare or Medicaid.


Question:      How is the Buckeye Rx discount drug card different from traditional insurance that covers the cost of prescriptions?

Answer:    The Buckeye Rx drug discount card is not insurance.  It is a FREE prescription drug discount program that provides immediate discounts at participating pharmacies.


Question:      Can I use my Buckeye Rx Card to obtain discounts on over-the-counter products or non-prescription drugs?

Answer:    Not usually, because over-the-counter and non-prescription drugs do not require a prescription.  However, if the over-the-counter product is ordered via a valid prescription, it may qualify for discounted pricing with your Buckeye Rx Card.
